The challenge
A med spa was confident its services were making a real difference for members but it had no way to prove it. Member outcomes lived in scattered session notes and subjective impressions, with nothing that connected a service to a measurable change in how someone actually felt.
Without that evidence, the business couldn't show prospective members what they'd gain, and couldn't see which services were truly driving retention. The approach
We ran the engagement through our WAVES methodology, building a custom application rather than a one-off report, because the value was in members and staff seeing results continuously.
Wrangle. We structured the med spa's member and session data into a clean foundation an app could build on. They were now capturing data that was previously never even quantified as it lived in members' heads.
Enrichment. We began integrating Whoop and Oura wearable data, layering objective physiological signals on top of self-reported measures so the picture wasn't based on impressions alone.
Analyze & Visualize. We built a custom member-facing app that quantified each service's impact on energy, stress, mood, and pain, surfacing real-time results members could see for themselves and patterns the business could act on.
Strategize. With service impact finally measurable, the med spa gained a clear, defensible story for prospective members and real visibility into what drives engagement and retention, and the members gained a sense of ownership and control over their health journey with data to support it.
